The daily itinerary

Day 1Arrival and the Old City of Tbilisi
Tour area
Tbilisi
Overnight
Tbilisi

Reception at Shota Rustaveli International Airport. Welcome to Georgia! We head to the Old City, where we begin exploring its historic landmarks. Locals love to call their capital Tbilisi "Europe's balcony", which puts it on a par with many of the old cities of Europe. Tbilisi is a colorful city, both old and new, and this morning's tour will give you a glimpse of its history from the early centuries AD up to the present day, through its varied landmarks and architecture.

We will also pass the famous 19th-century houses of this city, which is dominated by Narikala Fortress and the Mother of Georgia monument. We will then go to see the Peace Bridge near Rike Park, take the panoramic cable car from Rike Park up to Narikala Fortress, and stroll down to the sulfur baths located on the thermal springs. We will see the Tbilisi mosque, the waterfall and the Bridge of Love, then head to the Botanical Garden, which contains many plants and flowers from all over the world and covers an area of 128 thousand square meters.

After that we walk to Freedom Square via Rustaveli Avenue; while strolling along Shota Rustaveli Avenue you will learn about the history of Tbilisi in the previous century and its grand architecture. We will see the Opera House, the Parliament building, the cinemas and the largest international brand stores, followed by a tour inside Zara Mall, then lunch and the transfer to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 2Ananuri and Gudauri
Tour area
Gudauri
Overnight
Tbilisi

After breakfast our tour begins with a trip to Ananuri, a fortress complex located along the turquoise waters of the Aragvi River. It is a prime example of Georgia's architectural beauty; it was the home of the feudal dukes of Aragvi during the 18th century, and was the starting point of many of the battles fought by the Georgians. After that we set off on an amazing journey to Gudauri, driving along a river for about two hours through beautiful valleys and forests until we reach Gudauri, a region that is green in summer and white in winter.

Gudauri offers many more activities, such as paragliding. We will enjoy some time there; you can sit by the river and enjoy a barbecue party, or ride rubber boats, 4x4 vehicles or horses, then return for the overnight stay.

Day 3Mtskheta and Borjomi
Tour area
Borjomi
Overnight
Bakuriani

After breakfast we head to Mtskheta, the former capital of Georgia. Mtskheta is an ancient city of exceptional importance to the Georgian nation, located about 20 km from Tbilisi; this historic city was built in the 11th century. You will have the chance to take photos with a very beautiful view. After that we go to the small town of Borjomi, which lies among the high mountains and includes many mineral water sources.

The reason behind Borjomi's fame is that the Russian Grand Duke Nicholas commissioned a royal residence here in the 19th century. We will visit Borjomi Park and taste the water from its sources; the park contains the huge forests of Likani. We will spend some time in the park enjoying the activities there and viewing the waterfall up close, then head to the hotel.

Day 4Discover Batumi
Tour area
Batumi
Overnight
Batumi

After breakfast we visit the Batumi Botanical Garden, whose unique location makes it special; you will see miles of flower specimens from all over the world, along countless paths. After that we visit the famous Batumi Boulevard, Europe Square and Nurigeli Lake, and continue on our way past the Alphabet Tower, whose outer structure takes a cylindrical shape; it was completed when it reached a height of 130 meters, and it is a modern architectural masterpiece built with precision and skill that adds to the tourist appeal of the city of Batumi.

We will also see the "Ali and Nino" statue (a constantly moving metal statue of a man and a woman who slowly pass around each other). You can stroll along the Batumi seafront and ride the longest cable car in the country, up the mountain overlooking Batumi, which takes you 250 meters above sea level to Mount Anuria overlooking the city and the sea. After that we have lunch, then head to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 5Makhuntseti Waterfall and Queen Tamar Bridge
Tour area
Batumi
Overnight
Batumi

After breakfast we visit the Makhuntseti Waterfall, 30 km from Batumi. This is one of the highest waterfalls in Adjara; the drive takes about 30 minutes. You will hear the roar of the water, and within minutes an unbelievable sight will appear: water falls from a great height, breaking on the rocks and splitting into a large number of pools. In summer, those who like swimming can swim in the waterfall's basin. You can visit the Makhuntseti Waterfall at any time of the year; there are restaurants nearby that serve Georgian dishes.

Here you can also buy natural products from the local residents: honey, churchkhela and more. After that we go to the Queen Tamar Bridge, which was built during her reign over the river and is dedicated to Queen Tamar. The bridge has withstood many floods and clay landslides, and it still stands in place serving the local residents to this day. We then return to the hotel.
